Good morning, EPN!
This week, Ohio State is welcoming thousands of students back to our Columbus and regional campuses. This effort is requiring great care and attention to health and safety protocols as we seek to accomplish this monumental and rewarding task!
To align with this important effort and university protocol we’ve decided to make our January EPN program, Sustainable Investing: Decarbonizing portfolios and financing green development, just one week from today (Tuesday, January 18) into a virtual only event.
Our speakers Paul Rose, JD (associate dean for strategic initiatives, Robert J. Watkins/Procter & Gamble professor of law, Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law), Satyajit Bose, PhD (professor of practice and associate director for the program in sustainability management, Columbia University) Sandy Nessing (managing director of corporate sustainability, American Electric Power), and Andrew Shea (global sustainable finance, Morgan Stanley, and 2018 graduate of the Ohio State College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences) are still slated to share their prepared remarks on the following topics as planned:
- Collecting, measuring, and utilizing "ESG" data (Environmental, Social, and Governance) to evaluate company and organizational performance
- Evaluating sustainable development and real-world impacts financed by green bonds and other green investments strategies
- Describe ways for large and small entities to make decisions to decarbonize their financial portfolios and other methods to reduce carbon emissions of their holdings.
This event will begin at 8:00 a.m. with live remarks and an audience question and answer session, which will conclude by 9:25 a.m. This event will feature an added thirty-minute virtual networking session with professionals and speakers on program topics, which will conclude by 10:00 a.m.

Please note that for those who love the coffee, breakfast and in-person interaction that EPN Events are known to offer – we are still planning for our February, March, and April programs to include a meal and in-person option. Details for those programs are coming soon!
Stay well and “see” you soon!
