Good morning!
The EPN had a lot of fun last week hosting Restoring Streams and Wetlands – Whose Job is it Anyway? with over 180 in-person and 166 live virtual participants.
There were a lot of laughs and lessons learned shared by the expert panel. Whose Job is it Anyway? was our fourth and final EPN hybrid program of Autumn Semester 2021.

We appreciate the helpful feedback that we’ve received through dozens of participant surveys over the past four months. Overall, hybrid event attendees shared that the educational components of these program were engaging and informative throughout. In-person attendees consistently reported new relationships and networks formed through their participation, and livestream participants expressed having the opportunity to ask live questions to our program speakers.
Please reserve your spot today for Sustainable Investing: Decarbonizing portfolios and financing green development on Tuesday, January 18, which will be our first hybrid event of 2022!
We will start the year by hosting environmental professionals working at the intersection of finance, sustainable development, and asset decarbonization as a method to address climate change.
This program features internationally and locally recognizable experts, including Dr. Satyajit Bose (Columbia University), Sandy Nessing (American Electric Power), and Andrew Shea (Morgan Stanley), who will share about:
- Collecting, measuring, and utilizing ESG (environmental, social and governance) data to evaluate organizational performance,
- Evaluating sustainable development projects financed by green bonds and other investments strategies,
- Strategies for large and small entities to decarbonize their financial portfolios and other methods to reduce carbon emissions of their holdings.
Paul Rose, JD (Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law) will open this program by sharing about sustainable finance research efforts and other sustainable development initiatives at Ohio State, including the University System of Ohio’s first green bond designation.

Over the coming weeks, we will continue to monitor Ohio State’s safe and healthy protocols and design our Breakfast programs accordingly.
