The Ohio State University’s 2022 Signature Earth Day event focuses on how we utilize our innate strengths, interests and unique characteristics alongside the movements of large organizations to leverage nature’s inherent properties to improve the health of our world.
Join our three 2022 Earth Day keynote speakers (see below), additional leaders in research and education, and hundreds more on Wednesday, April 20 at 6 p.m. for Time to Act on Climate Change to gain tangible tools for individual and collective action to positively affect the stark reality of a warming world.
- Jennifer Morris (Chief Executive Officer, The Nature Conservancy) and Dr. Kristina M. Johnson (President, The Ohio State University) lead large, complex and influential organizations. Their core values, guiding leadership principles and day-to-day decisions can shape the trajectory of our shared plant, animal and human communities.
- Sophia Buggs is an urban homesteader in Youngstown, Ohio reclaiming the sacred roots of farming. Her environmental work and intentional community building in the Mahoning Valley will inspire you and help you to re-align and grow in your sustainability practice and journey.
This event offers both in-person (inside The Ohio Union’s US Bank Conference Theater) and virtual (via the EPN livestream service) participation options.
