Friends,
We are pleased to announce that Cathann A. Kress has been reappointed vice president of agricultural administration and dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University.
During Dean Kress’ five-year tenure, the college has advanced in important ways across its mission areas of teaching, research, and Extension.
- We have increased our commitment to a student-first philosophy by raising record-breaking funds for student scholarships and research. We will welcome more than 20 new faculty in 2022, and enrollment in the School of Environment and Natural resources is up by nearly 6%.
- Our Physical Master Plan aligns the Columbus, Wooster, and statewide campuses. Visionary capital improvement projects like the Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex and the Wooster Science Building support both teaching and research efforts.
- We have bolstered our outreach and engagement activities by expanding relationships with national partners such as the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Nationwide, Kubota Tractor Corporation, Cargill, ScottsMiracle-Gro, and Apple.
All of this would not have been possible without support from friends like you. We invite you to join us as Dean Kress begins her next term. It’s sure to be as exciting as the last.
Congratulations Dean Kress!
Thank you,
Keith DiDonato
